Hyaluronic acid

Why is everyone talking about hyaluronic acid?

"Hyaluronic acid is a sugar molecule that occurs naturally in the skin, [and] it helps to bind water to collagen, trapping it in the skin, so that skin can appear plumper, dewier, and more hydrated," explains board-certified dermatologist Tsippora Shainhouse, M.D.

As we age, we lose collagen and hyaluronic acid, causing our skin to become easily dehydrated. When we lose our collagen and hyaluronic acid, skin becomes saggy, wrinkley, less plump, less healthy- this is why it is so important to incorporate hyaluronic acid into your daily routine, as a supplement, or a topical serum. Hyaluronic acid is gentle enough for all skin types, as it is nonirritating and does not trigger acne or rosacea.
